Research interests include methods and tools for implementation of global health programs, quality improvement of health systems, use of technology for workforce capacity building and monitoring and evaluation. Current projects include: 1) Development of a Virtual Learning Center to share best practices on monitoring and evaluation of global water programs in nine countries. 2) Development of processes for introducing smoking cessation interventions into state operated alcohol and drug treatment facilities in North Carolina. 3) Introducing mental health interventions through the primary health care system in India. 4) Developing neonatal centers of excellence in Ghana 5) Developing process monitoring and risk management systems for a maternal clinic in Kenya 6) Developing metrics for assessing public health quality for the US Department of Health and Human Services.
