Dr. Kelly's education along with her extensive clinical experience, including twenty years at Intermountain Health Care, allow her to offer a hands-on patient-friendly, practitioner-friendly, teaching and facilitation style. In addition to teaching in the University setting, Dr. Kelly uses action learning strategies to promote performance improvement and increase leadership capacity for diverse groups including Project HOPE's Health Care Management Training Program in Eastern and Central Europe; rural hospitals throughout Utah and Nevada; and, American Indian / Native Alaskan communities in the Western U.S Dr. Kelly served as a member of the board of examiners for the Baldrige National Quality Program from 1999 - 2001. Her newly released text, Applying Quality Management in Healthcare: A Process for Improvement, integrates academic and real-world lessons to offer an easy to read and practical approach to quality management for both students and managers in health related organizations.
