|Rusyn joins IARC working group to review research about carcinogenic risk of chemicals|

Ivan Rusyn, MD, PhD, has been invited to participate in a working group with the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). The group will peer-review materials to be published in the IARC Monographs on the Evaluation of Carcinogenic Risks to Humans (Vol. 110, on the chemicals Perfluoro-octanoic acid, Tetrafluoroethylene, Dichloromethane, 1,2-Dichloropropane, and 1,3-Propane sultone).
Rusyn and other working group members will assemble in Lyon, France, June 3-10, 2014, to make their recommendations. IARC will publish a summary of the meeting in The Lancet Oncology.
Rusyn has served on several National Research Council committees to evaluate various chemicals' cancer risks to humans.
