UNC's Doctoral Program in Health Leadership (DrPH) at the Gillings School of Global Public Health has initiated an effort to work with universities around the nation and world to create a network of executive doctoral programs building on the model developed and implemented at UNC in 2005.
After several years of informal discussions, the first face-to-face meeting of initial partner institutions in the International Network for Doctoral Training in Health Leadership was held in London from May 27-29, 2009.
Participants met for two and a half days for the primary purpose of learning about programming at others' schools, understanding barriers to distance doctoral programming at each school, and crafting an agenda for future meetings.
