At our School, we are committed to giving our students, faculty and staff the opportunity to learn and work in an environment that is rich in academic pursuits, research initiatives, philosophical perspectives and culture. We believe that by cultivating an atmosphere of diversity and inclusion within the School, we better prepare our students for the diverse world that awaits them -- a world that seeks culturally competent people to serve as its leaders.
When we embrace the socioeconomic, physical, cultural, racial, and ethnic differences of our students, faculty, and staff, we enrich the quality of coursework, classroom discussions, research and practice both within the School and beyond.
In the Fall of 2010, Dean Barbara K. Rimer established a Diversity and Inclusion Task Force
that was charged with developing a plan to achieve enhanced diversity and inclusion in the School.
